Coastwise Marine Design is a yacht design and small craft naval architecture firm experienced in a wide range of commercial and recreational craft from traditional sail and power designs to modern aluminum planing hull forms. I strive to realize the client's design vision while working within the best abilities of the builder to produce seaworthy, practical, well arranged boats. Over the years, I have collaborated with numerous designers, marine engineers, recreational and commercial builders resulting in a comprehensive range of design experience.
I utilize Rhinoceros 3D software to create 3 dimensional models, AutoCAD 2D for detailed plan sets and NC cutting files and lofting. Orca3D software provides naval architecture support. GHS support is available when needed. Weight tracking and general calculations are performed with Orca3D and Excel spreadsheets. Many of my recent projects are focused on the design of commercial aluminum craft, though not entirely. I can assist your re-fit project with the design of hull, deck, and superstructure modifications in metal, FRP or wood.
