COMMERCIAL CRAFT

In late 2008, Coastwise Marine Design began contracting with Lee Shore Boats, an aluminum boat building company who was then located in Port Townsend, WA. The company was purchased by Eric Schneider and  moved to Port Angeles, WA.  Eric has grown Lee Shore Boats to now rank as one of the country's finest alloy commercial boat builders and allowed Coastwise Marine Design to hone its abilities in designing metal boats.   

These boats are generally hard chine, moderate to deep V, monohedron, planing hull forms utilizing gas outboard, diesel I/O or diesel/water jet propulsion.   This type of hull form naturally lends itself to construction with sheet materials.  Each design package includes a cutting file with all the parts efficiently nested onto standard plates size for NC cutting and forming.  This method ensures accurate and efficient assembly and forming thereby reducing labor costs and build time.
