Coastwise Marine Design Inc. has recently designed (1/2018) a shipping cradle for the 82' Feadship Anahita V for transit to a yard in the Scotland to be rebuilt. The vessel has minimal hull girder strength and suffered deformation of the forefoot when recently hauled out.  The cradle is designed to carry more of vessel's weight on the hull surfaces and off the CL.  Blue Dot group was contracted to perform laser scans of the exterior and interior.  That data was the basis of the 3D model and calculations.  The model was floated at the scum line of the vessel to determine the weight and center.  A shoring plan was provided for temporary internal shoring to prevent any further deformation during transit. Tullio Celano performed a FEA on the cradle to confirm sufficient safety factor.
